002: Andrew Byrne - The Singing Athlete: Brain Based Training for Your Voice

Andrew Byrne, the author of The Singing Athlete and a NYC based voice teacher, is on to discuss how he works with his voice students with brain focused training. We discuss starting from a place of safety as survival based organisms, the "threat bucket" analogy, motor and sensory representation with regard to the voice, assessing for each individual whether an exercise/drill is high-payoff, neutral, or rehab and how to use each one, and much more.
